Tag: The Playlist Book Tag

I was tagged by Paige from The Wild Reader to do the playlist book tag that she created.

  1. Post some song that is in your playlist (or any music that you like) and the singer. Write how the song reminds you of that particular book.
  2. Nominate your friends and let them know that you tagged them.
  3. Please don’t change the photo in this tag. Thank you loves.

I was so excited to do this tag when i found out Paige tagged me! I always love music. I listen to all kinds of songs from English to Korean to Chinese. Music takes up the most space in my phone. So thank you Paige for tagging me to do this!

  1. Colors Of The Wind from Pocahontas (slave and someone with high position)
You think I’m an ignorant savage
And you’ve been so many places
I guess it must be so
But still I cannot see
If the savage one is me
How can there be so much that you don’t know
You don’t know

The first part of this song somehow reminds me of The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski. Kestrel is the general daughter. One day, she find herself ‘accidentally’ buying a slave. Arin. It’s not long before she has to hide her growing love for Arin. This is one of my favorite trilogy and i cannot wait for The Winner’s Kiss that will be coming out this year.

2. Right Here Waiting by Richard Marx (love that last throughout the series even though there are many problems)

Wherever you go
Whatever you do
I will be right here waiting for you
Whatever it takes
Or how my heart breaks
I will be right here waiting for you

This song always leads to the feeling of true love. Love that last forever even though it might not be possible. The Mortal Instrument is a series about Clary finding out she is a shadowhunter- half human half angel. Shadowhunters are here to protect the humans from the demon world. Throughout the series, she met Jace and things start happening and those who read knows what happen.

3. Love Yourself by Justin Bieber (friends that do not support your relationship)

When you told me that you hated my friends
The only problem was with you and not them
And every time you told me my opinion was wrong
And tried to make me forget where I came from

The part when Justin sang when you told me you hated my friends, the only problem was with you and not them, it reminded to of These Broken Stars. These Broken Stars is about Lilac being the daughter of the richest man on earth and Tarver being a soldier. They were the only survivors left after the crash of their spaceship. I know i said i didn’t like this book but i remember the starting of this book when Lilac friends didn’t support her with Tarver.

4. Bad Blood by Taylor Swift (a character that nobody likes)

‘Cause, baby, now we got bad blood
You know it used to be mad love
So take a look what you’ve done
‘Cause, baby, now we got bad blood
Now we got problems
And I don’t think we can solve them
You made a really deep cut
And, baby, now we got bad blood

If you guys read the divergent series, you know i hate Caleb. Like go to hell! He did some really really bad stuff. Divergent series is a dystopian world where people are group in factions and they have to live there for the rest of their lives. But there are some people out there -Tris – who doesn’t belong in any faction. They are known as Divergent.

5. Heartbreak Girl by 5sos (Heartbreaker)

You call me up,
It’s like a broken record
Saying that your heart hurts
That you never get over him getting over you.
And you end up crying
And I end up lying,
‘Cause I’m just a sucker for anything that you do.

Okay i admit i added this song because 5sos sang it. And because i couldn’t think of any other song. The word heartbreak remind me of heartbreaker and i have a book called The Heartbreakers. HAHAH i hope thats easy to follow. The Heartbreaker is a wattpad book that got published and i LOVE wattpad. I read this book and actually cried.

My answers may be a little weird but who cares 🙂 I really enjoyed this tag and once again, Thank you paige for tagging me! 🙂

The Childhood Book Tag

Ahhh! It’s my first time being tagged i am so excited:) I was tagged by The Quirky Book Nerd thank you so much for tagging me!! If you haven’t check out her account make sure to stop by and follow! She has such an amazing blog it’s hard not to read!

Before i start, i would like to say that as a child, i did not read much. Yes i know… regrets. My love for reading started early last year. I got into a new school and didn’t feel welcome so i spent most of the time reading books to get rid of all the negative thoughts. The more i read, the more i felt that i belonged somewhere so i started buying books and reading them more often to escape reality. However i got insulted because I’m reading instead but i wasn’t really affected by it. Anyways thats it. I’m not here to talk about the past where everything is so sad (if any of you are interested on how i got into reading leave a comment below maybe i will do a blog post related to it.) lets continue with the tag!

Since i don’t read when I’m younger, i might not be able to answer some of the following questions and may have to twist it a bit.

1. First book you remember reading on your own?

Im pretty sure it was a fairy tale book. It is most slightly Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs? I remember when i was young, my parents would buy books like cinderella and sleeping beauty and i was the one who keeps rereading since my younger sister shows no interest in books at all.

2. First book you remember having your parents read to you?

The only book my parents ever read to me was 365 Bedtime Stories. I remember very clearly that there was goldilocks inside and i would always ask them to repeat. They got sick of it and would ask me to read it myself.

3. Books you read because of your parents? Because of a friend?

To be honest, i don’t think i ever read any books because of my parents or friends as nobody likes to read 😦

4.Favourite book in school?

I have only read two books in school, A Roald Dahl Selection and The Village By The Sea. Between these two, i definitely prefer A Roald Dahl Selection. I remember i had to do a scrapbook base on what i read and mine was so colourful.

5. Favourite book in elementary school?

I remember going to the school library with my friends to find books from the Rainbow Magic 🙂 My friends and i would always try to find our name but sadly my name was never on any of the books. My favourite is Samantha the Swimming Fairy.

6.In middle school?

Charlotte’s Web will always be my favourite book in middle school. My teacher read it to all of us during our “library” lesson. It was one of the best kind of lesson school can ever have.

7. In high school?

This was such a hard question. But i had to choose Eleanor & Park. I know there are a lot of people that prefer Fangirl over Eleanor & Park but they are equally as good to me.

8.Books you gave up as a kid that you’d like to revisit?

It was actually this year where i have to read this for a school assignment but i gave up halfway since I’m not someone that like to be force to do something so i gave up halfway . But i really want to go back to it since some of my classmate really enjoyed it.

9. Book you checked out from the library the most as a kid?

I remember as a kid i would always go to my neighbourhood library to borrow books from the Geronimo Stilton. I’m not sure if any of you have heard of these books before but they are really interesting.

10. Book you made all your friend read?

I remember telling all my friend to read this right after i finish this book 🙂 It’s definitely one of my favourites for those who haven’t read this yet, you have to read it!!

11. The book that made you love reading?

City of bones is the book that made me fell in love with reading. I know there are many people out there that do not like the City of Bones from The Mortal Instruments series but i don’t know. Im just different.

12. Favourite middle grade read?

Once again, I’m going with Charlotte’s Web.

13. Favourite Young Adult read?

My favourite is always changing but right now it is definitely Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes.

14. First long series you read as a kid?

Harry Potter!! It’s one of the best and i know many of you will agree with me too.

15.How did you learn the read? How old were you?

My parents told me i was about 4 when i learn how to read. My parents got sick of reading the same book to me everyday so i had to pick up a book and start learning how to read it myself.

16. How obsessed were you with the scholastic book fairs as a kid?

I didn’t know such thing exist when i was a kid oops.
