Lara Jean didn’t expect to really fall for Peter.
She and Peter were just pretending. Except suddenly they weren’t. Now Lara Jean is more confused than ever.
When another boy from her past returns to her life, Lara Jean’s feelings for him return too. Can a girl be in love with two boys at once?
In the first book, Lara Jean writes love letters. Not the normal love letters that expresses her love and hoping the boy will love her back. It’s letters that indicate that she no longer wants to love the boy anymore. In her letter, she is able to express everything she want to says. After she is done, she seal it, addresses it and keep it in her hatbox. But one day, someone walks up to her and ask about her letter. Only then did she found out that her letters had been sent out. Her love life is now in a mess.
Lara Jean likes Peter but when John came into Lara Jean life, things happen and she think she might have feeling for John too. But is it possible to be in love with two boys at once?
If you read my review for To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before you will know that i LOVE it. It has already made its way up my favorite shelf. And it is definitely the same for this book. It just make me want to get other books by Jenny Han. This book mess with my feels. How can a book do that?! I Absolutely love this book. I really like the fact that we got to read more about Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky.
The writing in this book was so amazing once again. I love Jenny Han writing style, it is able to grab my attention and i keep wanting to read more. I cannot stop reading it and it kinda made me finish the book at 3 am midnight and wake up really tired the next day. I really need to get the rest of her books
(that depends if i have the money).
The plot is this book is really well develop. Although there were some parts that were added that made me feel that it was just for the drama. But it is still a really great book and i really really love it.
Lara Jean, I get to see her grow so much in this book. Her character definitely develop a lot more in this book and i really like it. I still really love Lara Jean and she is just so relatable. Her relationship with her family is just as great as book one but i really felt that i needed more Margot in this book. It was mostly Kitty but it was okay.
Peter Kavinsky, UGH he is kind of annoying in this book. The way he acts, its hurting Lara Jean! Although there were certain parts that he was really really cute and sweet. I am still team Peter for sure. I mean everybody has flaws and i really like that Jenny Han didn’t make Peter the perfect guy because no one is perfect.
John Ambrose (what) i cannot remember his name. Lets just call him John. John was really the perfect guy that everyone love. He is smart, funny, cute he is a whole package. There were certain parts in this book where i really want John and Lara Jean to work out just because Peter is a douche. Yes i said it. He was so annoying at some part. But John. He was just the perfect guy there. He was the choice that everyone will make. And i felt that is was because we did not get to see a lot of John and it made us feel that he is that perfect guy.
I really want to talk about Genevieve this time. I don’t know what to think about her. She keeps making Lara Jean sad and that made me sad. It made me dislike her. But she also has her problem with her dad. I totally understand but doesn’t she have any other friends to talk about it? Why must it always be Peter. And Peter, you could have at least told Lara Jean what happen or where you were going.
Kitty was still so cute in this book. The part where she said nope to Peter when he ask her to go was so cute. The family relationship in this book really made me really happy. The fact that they love each other so much brings joy to me. And when Lara Jean dad find out about what happen between Peter and Lara Jean he was trying to comfort her although he know it will not be as effective as a mother. But it just brings so much feels.
Is there any other character… Josh. I didn’t get to see a lot of him in this book which is really sad as he use to be such an important part of the Song girls life. But suddenly he just stop hanging out. And he even got himself a ‘girlfriend’. I felt really sad for Margot.
The tag game! They take that so seriously and it was funny. Especially when Lara Jean tagged John out. It was so cute. And when John help Lara Jean to get Genevieve out i really like the relationship build between them.
The ending felt a bit rush to me. It was this and that and then together. I really wanted so much more. I wouldn’t mind if there is a third book which i know that there will not be and it is not necessary.
I cried a lot in this book. Like it tears my heart out. I finished reading it at midnight 3am and it is the worst time to be reading such a book as it is the timing that i will the most. I cried my heart out.
I want to talk about something in this book and it will definitely spoil you if you have not read it yet so you should probably stop here if you haven’t read it. READ IT AND COME BACK. YOU WILL LOVE THE BOOK.
MAJOR SPOILER AHEAD
How can Peter ask for the necklace back?! I was so happy when he gave it to her because i knew that he got it. But how can he do that? A gift is a gift and you do not take it back. That part made me cry. It made me think that maybe i was supporting the wrong guy after all.
Also, how can he spent so much time with Genevieve and not tell Lara Jean about it? Lara Jean need assurance and Peter should know that. You just had to call and tell her that Genevieve is having a hard time and you have to be there for you. Lara Jean will understand. He also missed him game to comfort Genevieve. If he told her beforehand she will not have to feel that when she saw Genevieve and Peter together.
Thats about all i want to rant about. I Really really love this book.
END OF MAJOR SPOILER
I really recommend it to everybody and i cannot wait to read more of Jenny Han books.
“Lara Jean, I think you half-fall in love with every person you meet. It’s part of your charm. You’re in love with love.”
